my only advise is to make sure they are taking pictures and transmitting them before you leave the property and head home. Especially being a 14 hour trip away.

    No-Till Food Plotting

I’ve never done a no till plot, but the seed I throw into the woods and weeds when seeding plots seems to come up better than the seed in the plot.

    Bring on the rain.

Now I feel bad for complaining about my 20 minute drive.

    Still getting some unwanted emails

I admit I used to check the site every time I got a chance, but over the last couple of years the slower it got, the less I checked in. I am trying to do better.

    Logging in.......

Yeah, I know. There were a lot of people I thought would be here forever, but most have moved on. I guess to Facebook.

    Bring on the rain.

We won’t plant for another month, mid October. Here in southwest Mississippi the army worms are a major threat through September. Also my experience has been that when we plant earlier and get rain there is too much growth and the plants get tough when they get taller. I may be nuts, but the...

    Baiting 20-21

Bill Clinton must have written the Mississippi law. Baiting is not legal in Mississippi. However, supplemental feeding is and there are no restrictions on hunting over, or near it on private land. As I understand it, the difference is that supplemental feeding must be done all year and...

    Draw Hunts

I know there are some. Go to the MDWFP site and they will have the information there. Good luck.

    This place still operable?

I took that route for a long time, but finally started going through Brookhaven. On a normal day it took a little longer, but it was worth it to avoid the aggravation of getting behind great great grandpa on 98.

I am hoping he will move on, but it looks like he is here to stay. It, or they, I think there is more than 1, has been around for about 6 months now. We have those and hogs are starting to multiply quickly. Starting in February we are going to try to put a hurting on the hogs though.

What’s Gonna Be In Your Plot Blend

We don’t normally plant until mid October. My son picked up 3,000 lbs of wheat and 2,000 lbs of oats a couple of weeks ago. His father-in-law farms so he got them at a great price, so we can share some with the mice if they get into it before we plant. We usually add some rye grass, winter...

    Draw Hunts

I’ve never done it either, but I know a lot of people that are true believers.

Rancher, we have probably at least passed one another on the road at some point. I spent 10 years working in Fourchon and live in Adams co.

I enjoy getting pictures without having to go to the woods. Well, most of them. Here’s a couple I’m not thrilled over. Both feeders were destroyed.

I don’t do Facebook either. I used to enjoy the site, but when it got to where it was days between posts I guess I kind of lost interest. I’ll try to start doing better.
