Thanks folks. I appreciate all the prayers, well wishes, calls, and texts. The surgery went well. I had my post-op checkup check-up this morning and my doc said the surgeon did great work. Just a little inflammation and no real pain. I was completely amazed when they pulled the patch off of my eye. Within 10 seconds I read off the letters in the 20/15 line! My left eye has never worked this well. Now, I am amazed how bad the vision is in my right eye which I had considered the "good eye" of the two.
You can forget colors. I had no idea. From my right eye everything appears smoky or foggy and the colors are washed out. I am really looking forward to January and getting that one fixed. I will get the laser cataract removal done on the right eye. The doc says the procedure, done with the laser, will also correct some levels of astigmatism. So, maybe glasses, other than readers, are a thing of the past for me. 'Cept for my shades of course.
Thank you Lord for giving us the technology to repair eyes this way and thank you for the skilled hands of the surgeon.
