Hog hunting?

I'm having some friends in from out of the country in a couple of months and they would like to experience some American hog hunting. Does anyone know anyone who hog hunts with much success or has a lot of hogs? They want to hunt from a stand/blind and possibly hunt with hounds and a catch dog (they have watched videos of it).

No clue in MS. I’ve heard Georgia is the place to go. My cousin took his wife. Used a catch dog, waded in, grabbed a hind leg, and stabbed it to death. Said it was the bloodiest thing he’s ever seen. Now that would leave your friends with a memory…

Hog hunting with dogs is pretty popular around Grenada lake backwaters in Calhoun county. I know a few who go regularly.

There is a guy David Ellis. He lives near Mathison. He may be able to help. He posts lots of hog hunting videos on YouTube. He operates traps but may be able to help you.
