In advance, I will likely not be as active this season. Have a little boy scheduled to make his appearance in 2 weeks.
I will hunt, when I can, and still have to put some meat in the freezer. Just might not be everyday.

Congratulations on the new baby coming soon. Enjoy those early months because they go so fast. Join the contest and hunt when you can.

Hey y’all, I found my way back. The boy is 6 now, and we managed to harvest a buck we’ve been after all season last week. I don’t know who was happier, him or dad.

Well, no luck. My crew of three saw 21 deer, to include 4 legal bucks, the week before Christmas. Biggest buck was across the property line so no shot there. Only attempted shot was on a feeding 8 that spooked when my partner turned to get eyes on. No regrets. Saw lots of deer that will be bigger next year... Now on to turkeys!

We’re trapping hard right now until Turkey season, monitoring cameras to see what all made it through deer season, feeding protein, starting the off season work as soon as it dries up a bit. I like this part as much as or more than the actual hunt

Me too. I’ll start my surveys on my licks in april. Nothing but does taking over the woods now.

I think I finally honed in on our #1 target deer from this past season. Blanketed the place with cameras last week, got almost all daytime pics of him on check today in one spot. Really excited to see him next fall, I’ve got him at 4.5 years old now, he should be a nice one this year.

Do you bow hunt? Killed my biggest in TN during rut but see far more bucks that I've seen post season during early bow. 4.5 should be a doozy.

Yessir I do, I have plans to hang a stand in there in the next few weeks, and cut an egress route for a quieter access. Planning to pull that camera in a few more weeks. Hopefully he won’t be too far from there in early October.
