I was set up on a logging road in between 2 pine thickets. The wind was blowing from my right to my left. About 9:00 the wind shifted to blowing left to right and was blowing in the direction from where the buck came from. When I first noticed the buck, he was about to cross the trail to my right but decided to stop and do a you u-turn. I figure he either saw me or caught my scent. He did not spook or run and was just taking his time. I noticed a small opening and when he stepped into the opening I pulled the trigger. He fell in his tracks 70 yards from my stand. That is such a nice buck! Congratulations! Moving before the stormy weather evidently. Got a story?
