I have a store bought moultrie game cam and it has been taking good pictures, except recently the cam has been covered in heavy dew in the early mornings causing the pictures to look fogged up because the lens has dew on it till about 9 in morning. It is on the edge of an opening so I guess that is why this came gets so much dew. I have another of the same game cam and it is in woods and no problems!
Is it something I can do to prevent the lens from getting covered every morning?

I used to glue a "rain shield" on mine, made of a cutout of a plastic milk jug.., seemed to help some. Plus put some rain-x on it..

Like gtk said, rain-x fog-x and a hoodie for the lens about all you can do. Or a hoodie for whole cam.

Thanks! That sounds like it should help! Time to get out the glue.
The dew is bad on this edge of the woods that is next to a thicket and that is the only direction that I can put the cam
to look at the trail. I guess with no tree canopy on that side
it just covers the cam every morning.
