Second chance!

My boy shot this deer Thursday and hit him in lower belly nothing vital. We trailed him 900 yards to end up jumping him 6 hours after the shot. Needless to say he was not hurt bad and survived. My little man was so upset. He has let so many smaller bucks walk and does, looking for a better buck.
fastfoward to this morning before church, he walks back into same food plot at the same spot at 6:45. It was unbelievable and he was lucky to get that second chance. I told him that has never happened to me before in all my years. It truly was meant to be his deer.

That certainly was meant to be! Congratulations to your young man! A fine fine buck for sure. Enjoy each moment. He will grow up too fast. You are making wonderful memories for both of you. So happy he got that second chance!!!
