When are we safe from army worms?? I usually plant the last couple weeks of September, but am questioning is that late enough this year with the army worms being so bad?

Nontypical not sure where you are, but up here (alcorn county) they are pretty much gone.

Cb123 they are actually moth larva that come through and eat all grass/crops in their way. Unless they are real bad, they seem to focus on the ends of the grass.

When I'm mowing an area with alot of them the concrete drives and walks gets covered.

They are very active in the southwest part of the state. In this area you are usually ok after the end of September. I normally don't plant before the second week of October.
